We are overjoyed that this year, the Suffolk Community Awards, presented Suffolk Sound with the Colonel Probert Award for a Voluntary Group or Community.
Thr award recognises a group that has made a positive impact to make their community a better place to live, strengthening the community to become more joined up and stronger and encouraging all members of a community to participate and make a real and lasting difference.
The awards ceremony took place in at the Museum of Food in Stowmarket on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 and there to receive the award was Co-Founders and Presenters Rob Dunger and Richie Ross alongside Trustees and Presenters Mark Murphy MBE and Sarah Smy.
Rob Dunger said “This award recognises the incredible team we have within our Suffolk Sound family and the amazingly supportive listeners who tune in every day, week and month. We’re proud to broadcast more live shows from Suffolk than any other station every week and winning this award pays homage to a great team.”
