INTRODUCING STEPHEN ‘FOZ’ FOSTER

Foz, as he has become known, is one of Suffolk’s longest standing broadcasters. The Ipswich-born music aficionado began his radio career at Radio Orwell and Saxon Radio in 1982 where he combined his role as a news journalist with presenting a whole host of music shows including The Headbanger’s Ball.

In 1990 he landed a job at BBC Radio Suffolk where he hosted thousands of shows including a 15 year run on Drivetime. Foz left the BBC in 2021 and continues to present music shows for various stations including Suffolk Sound!

Foz is an honorary fellow of the University of Suffolk – an award given for championing the Suffolk music and arts scene for the past 40 years. That passion for the local entertainment scene and indeed his beloved Suffolk will never go away and will be reflected in all he does for Suffolk Sound.

Foz has many other strings to his bow, not least promoting concerts and writing about music and is absolutely delighted to be part of Suffolk Sound.
