Paul Geater

I’m Paul Geater, born and bred in Suffolk – grew up in the Saxmundham area, went to school in Framlingham.

Even when I went to university didn’t get that far away – enjoyed three years at UEA in Norwich.

I’ve been writing for the EADT and Star for more than 40 years – and there’s still plenty of ink in my pen!

I’m a news junkie, especially politics. The next general election will be my ninth as lead writer for the Star!

I’m also a keen rail enthusiast and I’ve used this to write on transport issues over the years trains, automobiles but not many planes!

I live in Ipswich with my family. When I’m not working I like going to the cinema, concerts, and using my National Trust and RSPB membership to visit wonderful places wherever they are!
