INTRODUCING MARK KEABLE
Got the radio bug as a child as loved music. Like so many listened under the covers at night to Radios Caroline, Atlantis, Northsea and of course Luxy.
Spent sometime with Hospital Radio in Norwich and ran one of the major mobile discos in North Suffolk. Spent over 10 years as a presenter at Radio Yare in Yarmouth. Moving to Ipswich joined Hospital Radio Ipswich where I’ve presented a variety of programmes for a number of years. Passionate about nearly any kind of music, from the late 50s to today.
As the co-owner of Fizzwig Designs the publisher of Ipswich24 Magazine I have come to appreciate what a fantastic county Suffolk is and love telling everybody about how much the county has to offer right on our doorstep! I was born in Lowestoft which is in Suffolk, but I’m constantly told I have a Norfolk accent….I’m proudly a Suffolk boy through and through!

What’s your favourite childhood memory?
Being bought my first ever record player…. I’d seen it in a secondhand shop and kept looking in the window…. Then I was gutted one day when it had gone!!! – Few days later I received it for my birthday present!
If you could see any artiste in concert, living or dead, who would you choose?
It would have to be The Beatles.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Walking in Suffolk – normally with my camera. Going to the theatre and listening to music
Prefer starter & main course, or main course and dessert?
Having been born in Lowestoft it has to be Fish & Chips
Rhubarb Crumble or Pie…. Anything with rhubarb it’s underrated
Ant or Dec?
The little one!
Should pineapple ever be used on pizza?
Definitely NOT!!! Never ever mix pineapple with anything savoury
