INTRODUCING ANITA ABRAM

Anita Abram is a Suffolk-based singer-songwriter with a gift for weaving poetic lyrics and evocative melodies. Her music has been praised for its ability to blend timeless storytelling with contemporary folk sounds.

Anita’s musical journey began in Ipswich in 2018, where she cultivated her talents as a songwriter and performer, drawing inspiration from current issues and the natural world around her. A proud member of Dr. Isobel Anderson’s Home Recording Academy, Anita produces tracks at her home recording studio, bringing a DIY ethos to her art. Her commitment to championing independent female musicians is evident through her work with Every Bird Records CIC, a Community Interest Company she founded to support women in the industry with its flagship podcast 🎵Things I Never Thought I’d Say🎵 hosted by Sam Crane.

Anita served as a co-presenter on Radio V75’s Friday Drive Time from 2022 to 2023, after being a guest on the station. Anita was a guest on Paul Miles’ Unsigned Show on Suffolk Sound, and later joined as a regular co-host. Anita loves independent music and supporting artists to showcase their talents on Unsigned.

When she’s not crafting new music, Anita also serves on the board of an arts charity The Curwen Print Study Centre, embodying her dedication to the creative community.
