INTRODUCING CHLOE RIVERS….

For nearly 15 years I’ve been a picture editor for some of the biggest media giants in the news industry. I’m also a trained Hypnobirthing teacher and antenatal & postnatal expert – handy if you go into labour!

Born a Londoner, now based in north Essex with my young family, I love exploring the local areas, especially the beautiful coastline in Suffolk.

A beach walk followed by a pub lunch, a pint and a goss with the locals at one of the many excellent pubs in Suffolk would be my favourite day out.

I’ve sung in various bands since the age of 16, including a Bollywood girlband, and am currently a member of the Colchester Operatic Society.

My passion for music runs deep in my veins, I love broadcast journalism and radio, so being able to combine these things makes me a very happy woman.

Through the Morning with Chloe Rivers is 2 hours of fun (hopefully)

I love a laugh, love a good fact and love a celeb gossip so these will be a running theme, as will some bloody good tunes!

70’s/80’s Motown, Disco and Soul will always be on the playlist! I want to support and spotlight all things local so I will be highlighting local events and businesses as much as possible.

Expect an innuendo or two….

ON THE SPOT

What’s your favourite childhood memory?

Being adopted by my Dad with my birth Mum (confusing, I know) at the High Court in London, then having my first ever Wagamama straight after. I was 14 and I remember it so fondly.
Also every moment I’ve ever spent in Cornwall, it’s truly my happy place.

If you could see any artiste in concert, living or dead, who would you choose?

Without a doubt Kurt Cobain. I’m fully obsessed with Nirvana, they were such an incredible band. Kurt was an insane writer and singer, and no one has ever topped it for me.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Sea Glass hunting on the beach with the kids, musical theatre, meeting mates for a curry, shopping for antiques. I also like to just lay down quietly but that never happens. That’s the dream….an afternoon nap!

Prefer starter & main course, or main course and dessert?

Ooooh Starter and Main. I LOVE a starter and you can’t beat a main. Dessert tips me over the edge and I always regret it.

Ant or Dec?

Can’t I have both?

Should pineapple ever be used on pizza?

Yeh why not!
